Marina Escape: Boat Puzzle is a free boat-puzzle game made by Shabtai Productions. This page explains, in plain language, how the game handles information. The short version: the game keeps to itself. There are no accounts, there is no server of ours, and we do not independently collect or store your personal information on our own systems.
There is no sign-up and no login. We do not operate a server and do not independently collect or store personal information about you. The game runs on your device by itself. When ads are shown, Google AdMob may process limited device and advertising data, as described in Section 4.
The game is distributed through Google Play and uses Google Play functionality, including services used to check for and deliver application updates. Google may process certain device, application, diagnostic, installation, update, and usage information as part of providing and operating Google Play and its related services. This processing is performed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms. We do not independently receive or maintain personally identifiable information from these Google Play functions, except for aggregated or limited information made available to developers through the Google Play Console.
The game saves a few things on your own phone only — your settings (such as your sound and vibration preferences), your game progress (your current level and which levels you have unlocked), and a note of which in-game tutorials you have already seen. We never receive or see this data. It is stored on your device. If Android backup is turned on in your device settings — which is your choice and under your control — Android may include this data in your own personal Google account backup, so your progress can survive reinstalling the game or moving to a new device; it is never sent to us. You can turn this backup off in your device settings, and you can erase the data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the game.
The game is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not ask you for your age or any other personal detail in order to play.
The game is free, and it shows ads to support that. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, Google's own advertising network, and appear as a small banner shown during play and as an optional rewarded video that you can choose to watch (for example, to unlock an extra dock). This means the advertising is operated by Google, not by us: we do not select the ads, and we do not receive, store, or control the data used to serve them. For this activity Google acts as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy. The ads are not personalized — they are not based on a profile built about you, and the game requests only family-safe (G-rated) ad content.
To serve, measure, and protect these ads, Google (through the AdMob SDK) may collect and process from your device: device identifiers, cookies or similar technologies, your device's advertising ID, IP address and approximate (coarse) location, basic device and ad-interaction information, and diagnostics and performance data. Google uses this for purposes such as showing the ad, limiting how often ads are shown, measuring ad performance, and preventing fraud. How long: Google retains this data according to its own data-retention policies; we have no access to it and cannot delete it from Google's systems. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your phone settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
Ads shown in the game may link to third-party websites or services operated by advertisers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those third parties. For more on how Google collects and uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The game is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 on our own systems. As an added safeguard, the game requests only non-personalized, family-safe (G-rated) ads, so no advertising profile is built about any player. If you are a parent and believe a child under 13 has used the game, please contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action where necessary.
The ads in the game are always non-personalized — they are not based on a behavioral profile of you. Even non-personalized ads may use device identifiers or on-device storage for limited purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention. This limited processing is carried out by Google on an applicable lawful basis (including Google's legitimate interest in serving contextual ads and preventing fraud). Advertising data may be processed by Google in countries outside your own, including the United States, subject to Google's own safeguards.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the game shows a consent message from Google (via its User Messaging Platform) before device identifiers or on-device storage are used for ads, and you can review or change your choice at any time from Privacy Options in the game's menu. You can also reset or limit the advertising identifier used for these purposes at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority.
If you are a resident of California or of another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others), you may have rights such as: to know what personal information is collected, to request that it be deleted or corrected, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. Shabtai Productions does not "sell" or "share" your personal information, and does not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling — for any user, including minors — as those terms are defined under the CCPA and comparable state laws. The ads in the game are non-personalized. Because we do not collect personal information on our own systems, in most cases we hold no data to provide, correct, or delete, and any request relating to advertising data is handled by Google (see Section 4); you can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings. You remain free to contact us at the email below with any U.S. state privacy request or question — we are the operator of the game and will respond — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
This game complies with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations, including Amendment 13. In line with the Law's transparency requirements: providing personal information is entirely optional — in fact unnecessary, as the game does not ask for or require any personal information to be used, and all features work without it (so there is no consequence to not providing any). The purpose of the only processing involved is as described in Section 4: limited technical data used by our advertising partner (Google AdMob) to display non-personalized ads and to prevent fraud. We do not maintain a database of personal information and do not collect or store personal information about you on our own systems; the game runs locally on your device. Regarding the AdMob processing, Google may act as an independent controller, and as a processor for certain features, under its own applicable terms (see Section 4). We do not sell or trade personal information. You have the right to review (access), correct, and request deletion of information relating to you, and you may contact us with any privacy question or complaint at the email below. You may also lodge a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Because we do not maintain personal data about you on our own systems, we generally do not have personal data that we can access, correct, or delete on your behalf. Data processed by Google AdMob is subject to Google's privacy practices and to any data-protection rights you may have under applicable law. To delete all data the game has stored on your device at any time, clear the app's storage/data in your device settings or uninstall the app. If you have a question, you can always contact us at the email below.
The data saved on your device stays there until you clear the app's data or uninstall the game. Any data that Google AdMob processes to show an ad is kept according to Google's own policies.
We do not operate servers that store your personal information. Information stored locally by the game remains on your device, while the limited ad-related data described above is processed by Google, which maintains its own security measures. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new date.
